KHG Contracting is seeking a Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to join our finance team on a full-time basis at our Osborne Park, Western Australia office. This is a strategic position within our organisation, where you will oversee financial accounting and reporting functions whilst providing valuable guidance to the finance team. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the delivery of timely financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities
  1. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory requirements

  2. Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries

  3. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing

  4. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance on accounting procedures and best practices

  5. Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

  6. Prepare management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders

  7. Liaise with external auditors during audit processes and respond to audit queries

  8. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning

  9. Manage general ledger accounts and ensure proper coding and allocation of transactions

  10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function
